Auto manufacturers can be savvy and have realized that growing families are a huge market for them. As a result, many cars are being produced that will accommodate at least 7 passengers, but also provide luxury, power and, if it’s important to you, status. It’s a dream combination. Here are a few suggestions if you are searching for a family car that is luxurious and powerful.

Audi
We have discussed Audi and the Audi Q cars on this site before. Again, Audi has developed an impressive line of cars, the Q7 in particular. According to several reviews of this auto, the Q7 is elegant, powerful and will carry seven passengers in grand style. The engines are super charged to provide the speed and power needed to transport multi-passengers around the roadways with no strain. It’s a pricey car but the price of luxury, power and 7 seaters is all relative.

Mercedes Benz

Some people would argue with me about including the Mercedes Benz Viano in our discussion about luxury cars but let’s face it, the name Mercedes Benz has always been associated with luxury. Sure, this particular style looks like a moving box to me but the interior is loaded with really fine appointments. Leather seats, rain sensors, electronic sliding doors and many other options.
It’s on the pricey side but it definitely has power, status and luxury and it fits our criteria of seating at least 7 passengers.

The Mercedes GL Class and R Class are also fine luxury cars that are also 7 seater cars. They qualify to be called luxury 7 seaters for families. These two models are better looking alternatives to the Viano which we have already mentioned, looks like a big box. These cars can be purchased with a variety of appointments that make them more luxurious such as sun roof, Sirius Satellite Radio, Garage door openers, auto-dimming of rear view mirrors, and more. Families who want a luxurious feel plus power in their driving would do well with the Mercedes GL or R Class vehicle. All that luxury makes for a better time when Junior is hitting his sister in the back seat.

Lexus
Lexus RX 350 is a less costly alternative seven seater yet is as luxurious as the best of the 7 seaters. Lexus is often top of mind when discussing luxury cars and their family car varieties are no different. Lexus is classy, reliable and has unusually good fuel economy. What’s not to like? The RX is beautiful and designed to look like a very expensive and tasteful vehicle. It’s easy and a joy to drive. It’s base price is extremely competitively priced to stand out among other seven seaters although when you want to add more options to your base package, it will cost you a bundle.

I love the Lexus line although Audi’s are turning my head each year. Our conclusions? If you can afford it, family cars have certainly improved in the looks department. Families can now have accommodation along with power and status. Your good looking family can look good in a luxury seven seater car.
